The highlight of Casa de Cuma is the couple who own it, Shaan and Colleen. Colleen cooks fabulous breakfasts, and Shaan is an encyclopedia of knowledge about the area! We stayed in the Chili Pepper room, small and cozy and right next to the breakfast room/lobby. Each day, we'd show our expected itinerary to Shaan and he'd give us suggestions. So glad we took his suggestions! If we're ever in Santa Fe again, we would stay here again. It's easy walking distance into the historic district, where restaurants and art galleries and shopping abound.

Santa Fe style permeates this cozy Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were impeccably decorated and aesthetically pleasing. The art works and decor that adorned the rooms were very unique and reflected what visitors around the world come to this area to experience. The owners were warm and welcoming. The gourmet breakfast was served outside in the beautiful garden with the other guests while the faint sound of beautiful deep chimes and water relaxed the spirit. The location is within walking distance to the downtown plaza. Complimentary tickets were provided to local museums. I simply cannot imagine a more enjoyable stay for anyone.

Wonderful place in every way. The owners are the nicest people on the planet, and welcome you as if you are old friends coming for a personal visit. They provide a wealth of information on Santa Fe and the surrounding area and answer every question thoroughly, with their personal touch. We were greeted by Shawn immediately upon arrival, and felt right at home. The rooms are lovely (we had the Corazon room). It was cozy and well-appointed (I would have loved a few more amenities like soaps and lotions), but overall we were very comfortable for three nights. It's a quiet and warm spot, located just a short walk from the plaza (which can feel longer than it is on a freezing cold night). However, you return to the lounge, which is always open, and often filled with a roaring fire and friendly folks to chat with. The breakfast is to die for. We had croissant sandwiches, pumpkin waffles and the best breakfast burrito I've ever had (complete with a sweet little note on top scrolled in sour cream... mine was "love.") Your coffee cup is never empty, and friendly conversation abounds. I loved the community table, where you sit with people from around the country and Santa Fe locals invited by the owners. Note: be sure to take the high road to Taos... and take the inn's CD narrating the drive. It was a wonderful day trip and the CD was super informative. visit Taos Pueblo while you're there... one of the best places I've been. Can't recommend this lovely B&B more. I'd definitely stay there again and will recommend to all my friends. What a wonderful and memorable experience.

I have been meaning to provide a review for this place for 6 months. We loved this place- the owners go out of their way to make you have the best experience in Santa Fe. They are so knowledgable - tons of restaurant and day trip recommendations. Their breakfast is to die for- the orange stuffed French toast is awesome! The bedrooms are so comfortable and the energy there is so positive. We are not usually ones to sit around and talk in the morning, but there we wanted to stay every morning meeting new people. I would highly recommend this place- oh and it is so close to town! We never drove anywhere.

My mom and I just stayed here for two nights and it was an amazing experience! When we arrived we were greeted by Shawn and he immediately offered us cold bottled water and chocolates. A great welcome! He then gave us a list of things to do and went over a map of downtown Santa fe that he created himself. Brilliant! We originally booked the cowgirl room which happens to be the smallest of the rooms but since no one was occupying the corazon room he offered that to us with no additional charge. It was a wonderful little surprise and we really appreciated it! The room was great and the bed had amazing sheets and towels. AMAZING!!!!! The only reason I am not giving a full five stars is because we really wanted to utilize the jacuzzi on the patio. This was one f the reasons we wanted t stay here. We were disappointed to find out that both nights the jacuzzi wouldn't heat up. Shawn tried to heat it for us but the pump wouldn't stay on. We have a jacuzzi at home and we've had issues so we got over it but still disappointing. Other then that it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone :)

We met the Innkeepers years ago when they were like us: trapped in the corporate grind of the big city. They helped inspire us to leave it all behind and come to New Mexico. We've stayed with them numerous times now and there's no way around it: these two are good at what they do. Of course, it probably helps that they're so close to everything on the quiet side of town. They're always focused on the guest experience and it's simply not in their DNA to ignore new ways to improve things around this great little property. Recent major renovations at the property are stunning. All the rooms now have exterior, private entrances. Colleen has great taste. It's not overdone, if anything it's all understated. Very refreshing little redo of the property after it had become a little stale. When we go to Santa Fe, we stay at Casa de la Cuma because of the closeness to it all, the constant focus on the guests, and the quiet, peaceful and cozy sleep we always get there.
